The Engineering Division of the Shakopee Public Works Department provides design, plan review and construction inspection for all public improvements. Other duties include issuing grading and right-of-way permits, conducting traffic studies, reviewing fence permits and providing engineering assistance to other departments.

Sewer work along Eagle Creek Boulevard to start mid-April (4-8-13) Rehabilitation work will continue this spring on the Metropolitan Council’s Chaska Intercepter improvement project, along the south side of Highway 169, just west of County Road 83. Construction will start in mid-April and last through August. Expect periodic disruptions to foot and vehicular traffic, intermittent lane closures on Eagle Creek Boulevard and occasional sewer odors.
