Dog Licenses

The City of Shakopee requires licenses for all dogs age 6 months or older. Licenses are good for two years and cost $24. This fee is pro-rated for licenses purchased mid-year ($23 in February, $22 in March, etc.). Call 952-233-9300 for the exact prorated fee. Replacement licenses are available for $5 if the original is lost or damaged.

To obtain a license, please print off and complete the following form and return it to Shakopee City Hall, 129 S. Holmes St. All license applications must be accompanied by proof of rabies vaccination from a licensed veterinary clinic and a check for the required fee.
