Message from the City Administrator (Nov. 20, 2009)

Dear Residents:

The Shakopee City Council invites you to attend a Dec. 1 public hearing on the City’s proposed 2010 budget and tax levy. The hearing will begin at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. If you are unable to attend the hearing in person, you may watch it on Government Access Cable Channel 16 or on the City’s website. The presentation being used during that hearing is available in the right column of this page (2010 Property Tax Budget Hearing Presentation).

The 2010 levy may be reduced, but it cannot be increased. The City Council must adopt the 2010 budget and certify a final levy to Scott County by Dec. 29.
