ABSENTEE BALLOTS NOW AVAILABLE

Absentee ballots for residents of the City of Shakopee are available for the September 12, 2006 Primary Election.  Residents of the City of Shakopee may obtain absentee ballots during regular business hours at the following locations:

  Shakopee City Hall, 129 Holmes Street South
  Scott County Elections, 200 West 4th Avenue

Also, City Hall as well as Scott County will be open for those who wish to vote by absentee on Saturday, September 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Monday, September 11th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Eligible voters who will be unable to go to their polling place on election day because of absence from their precinct, illness or disability, religious discipline, observance of a religious holiday, or service as an election judge in another precinct may vote by absentee ballot.  (If at all possible, please call 10 days in advance of the election day if requesting an application and voting by mail.)
